Carroll County is a great place to live, work, and play, and we want you and your business to come join us.  We are 100% committed to supporting and retaining our existing businesses and attracting new ones.  Our County Staff and the Carroll County Industrial Authoity work  with  diverse  public and private organizations to  tailor incentive programs that drive increased employment and capital investment in Carroll County.  At the same time we offer business-friendly "eco-system" that includes a robust workforce, and attractive amenities such as good schools, unrivaled physical beauty and ample recreation. Carroll County is ideally located within 600 miles of 66% of the population of the United States along I-77 in the Commonwealth of Virginia and only a short twelve miles south of I-81/I-77 Interchange in the mid-Atlantic Region. We are located close to three major Airports, Charlotte International (CLT),  Roanoke (ROA), and Piedmont Triad International in Greensboro (GSO).

Carroll County is a business-friendly place that offers a solid workforce, no zoning, an efficient permitting and inspection process and forward-thinking leadership. The County works closely with both state and federal government programs to attract new businesses to the County and to expand the footprint of its exisiting companies.  In addition, several areas of the County are eligible for Economic Incentive Programs such as the Virginia Enterprise Zone, Virginia Tobacco Region Revitalizaiton  Commission, and Appalachian Regional Commission grants and loans and many others.  Come talk to us about how to build or move your business here.
