Roadside Litter Control

Keeping Carroll Beautiful

Carroll County is a beautiful place but at times we have a problem with litter in parts of our county.  To address the issue, the Carroll County Board of Supervisors works closely with county staff to address citizen's litter complaints and the VDOT's Assign-A-Highway program.

Roadside Litter control project
The Roadside Litter Control Project occurs annually from March 1st through April 30th.  Carroll County strongly encourages recycling of items when possible. Collection bags may be picked up at the Carroll County Administrator’s Office beginning the first week of March each year.

Please contact the County Administrator's Office  to report the efforts of your organization.  Pictures are very helpful during the annual funding application process for the program, so please take pictures and upload them on the online report form if you can.  The campaign is funded by the State and the County has to re-apply each year.

If you have any questions, please call  the County Administrator’s Office at 276-730-3001.  The Carroll County Board of Supervisors truly appreciates the efforts of all the organizations who participate in this program

The Carroll County/Hillsville SPRING CLEAN UP is held annually during the month of MAY!
